The first step to a healthy shine is to keep hair 'squeaky' clean. A build up of every day dirt, grime and styling products dull the hair, so choosing the right shampoo is important as anything too harsh will strip the hair of natural oils leaving it dry, dull and lifeless. Good professional advice on the right shampoo is essential to having healthy hair. When cleansing the hair never have the water too hot and always rinse the hair thoroughly before appyling any aftercare treatments. The hair should make a squeaking sound when it is completely shampoo free. Before applying conditioner, towel dry hair gently by blotting it in the towel, over zealous rubbing will only cause knots, tangle and damage! When applying conditioners use fingers and thumbs to work conditioners into the hair try to avoid combing the conditoners through as this will only take the treatment of the hair again.
